As much as I’d like to feature new cologne’s on this site, I have no affinity or relationship with any fragrance companies, and are not currently being supplied with press releases from these companies who are looking to push their product. In addition to that, I’m not going to feature a cologne that I haven’t put my own smeller to, and lord knows my nose ain’t smellin’ a whole lotta’ new cologne these days. So if and when I feature something, best believe it has my stamp of approval! That being said, may I present Bleu de Chanel, a new fragrance that was released by the fashion powerhouse just 2 weeks ago. My lovely wife surprised me with a bottle last night, and I have to say it’s pretty wonderful. The name was taken from a Chanel fragrance from the 1930′s called Le Bleu de Chanel, and is described as a “woody aromatic,” with notes of pink peppercorn, citrus, peppermint, nutmeg, vetiver, grapefruit, cedar, labdanum, jasmine, incense, patchouli, ginger and sandalwood. Not only is the smell really great, and probably pretty different than anything else in your cologne collection, but the scent seems to have pretty good lasting power without being offensive. This is available at select Nordstrom, and Macy’s locations. Small bottles start at $59, and you can read more info and watch a wacky little promo video here. This cologne is CMG certified, and yes, if you use it you will look exactly like the guy in the ad.
