Sneakers I Dig: 3/9/10 Part II

So first I gave you Air Max 1′s, and now I give you another pair of black sneakers that well, ain’t just another pair of black sneakers. See what I usually post on here is not just sneakers I like and would buy for myself, they are sneakers that I feel are appropriate for a MAN to wear. Not a boy, a man, because most of what comes out caters to 16 year old boys. That’s why you have me to sort through the colorful, patent leather, cartoony bs and give you what us CMG’s would want to see. Get it? That being said, I give present a pair that is somewhere in between the two extremes. Just because you’re mature doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun, and that’s what the Big Nike High “Rock N’ Roll’s” are all about. The good news is that at the end of the day, it’s still a black high top with silver details and that alone could get you by. But if you want to show them off you can see what makes ‘em so “Rock N’ Roll.” The “Nike” in the back seems to have been influenced by the AC/DC logo, and the toe is a play on the classic spiked belt. I really like the use of the different materials to keep it different. Maybe you like ‘em, maybe you’re offended by the commercialism of the “Rock N’ Roll” shtick, and for that I wouldn’t blame you at all. But isn’t part of growing up learning to not take things so seriously? I’m sort of torn because if they made the “Big Nike High Hip-Hop’s,” I’d probably gouge my eyes out just so I could get my mind off of what just happened, and never be able to see them again. Anyway, if you take your music less serious than me, or simply just like these sneakers, you can pick them up here. (Unfortunately for us American’s it’s in Japan, but trust me it’s legit.)
