R.I.P. Boner

41 yr old actor Andrew Koenig, pretty much only known for playing Boner Stabone on Growing Pains, hanged himself from a tree in Vancouver’s Stanley Park. He had been depressed for years and went missing on Feb. 14th. They found his body so deep in the forest that his family and friends thought he simply did not want to be found. See what the entertainment industry does to you? You get a job on a major sitcom as a young man, with a semi-reoccurring character, that’s “forgettable” at best, and then pretty much never work again. It’s a hard knock life. I also find it ironic that he was in Vancouver when he did it. Being forced to watch the Olympics for the last 2 weeks, I often felt like hanging myself. Andrew will be missed.
