Sneakers I Dig: 2/19/10

I think this is becoming a theme. You know where on Fridays I tend to post sneakers that are not as much “showstoppers” as they are “classics,” or a new term I’m about to coin: “Why Nots.” These Pumas are a lesser known style, but a perfect pair of somethings to keep in your closet for a sunny day. You won’t get nominated for any GQ lists wearing these, but you will be seen as an official CMG, with a boatload of confidence that says “listen, I’m so cool I don’t even need fancy shoes.” The Puma Top Winners have a vintage look as many pumas do, and feature mostly leather with nubuck accents, and the always classic “gummy sole,” which all the true sneakerheads are familiar with. I have a strong affinity for Pumas, especially ones with a navy Puma Arch. Long story for another day. Pick these up here for $99 and change.
