I don’t know about the rest of the country, but here in the tri-state area we’ve been pounded with crappy weather galore this winter. I’m talking snow, slush, mud, rain, hail and all that stuff that makes your morning commute a real pleasure. My friend’s husband has a day job which requires him to walk back and forth outside during said weather atrocities. This job also requires him to wear “business casual” clothing. This includes his footwear. I feel for the guy, having to take off his work shoes, switch to snow boots, then back to work shoes about 100 times a day. Which got me thinking…..is there some sort of weatherproof shoe solution that would keep his bosses happy, as well as his feet when he is walking through dirty NYC slush?
I came up with SWIMS – a rubber shoe that you slip on OVER your work shoes. Your shoes will be protected, and thanks to the traction on the bottom, your ass will protected from hitting the concrete and looking like a fool. They also make a boot version if you prefer. Convenience and smarts. I like it.
This is what they look like in action. But don’t be a dumb dumb like this guy. I would advise matching them to your shoes.
