Lupe Fiasco- I’m Beamin

I don’t often post music on this site, though it is my first love. That is not a reflection of anything other than the state of music, and what is the unfortunate truth: there’s not a lot of music being released that inspires me to share it with my readers. I also don’t want this site to be too one-sided, and it really takes something special for me to want to share it, especially when it comes to hip-hop music (specifically my first love). When I first heard Lupe Fiasco, I though he was pretty good, but after seeing him live I was severely underwhelmed. As Lupe came into his own, I truly think he will grow to be one of the greats. This song is produced (which means “the music was provided by”) the Neptunes, who are my favorite producers. I could write a book about them and why I love them, but just listen to this song and maybe you’ll understand. This is Lupe’s new single “I’m Beamin’” off his forthcoming album “Lazers.” It was leaked a few weeks ago, removed due to copywrite infringement, then officially released yesterday (1/26). This inspires me to share. This is what good hip-hop sounds like.
