How much do you love Corduroy?

Enough to join the Corduroy Appreciation Club perhaps? Here is their mission statement:

The Corduroy Appreciation Club is a social club which wishes to cultivate good fellowship by the advancement of Corduroy awareness, understanding, celebration and commemoration of the fabric and all related items. Club events are held on dates which resemble Corduroy. (ps-they mean anything with 11′s, which they feel “resembles corduroy, which tell you at every opportunity)

Whilst on their site, you can shop for all things corduroy, peruse the member gallery where you can read “member submitted artwork, photos, odes, poems or Corduroy inspired novels,” or take a stroll through their “cordulog.” I can’t figure out if this is for real, or a hipster with an 80′s hair-do and a handle-bar mustache attempting to be ironic? Personally, I’m indifferent about corduroy, though I do think I would join a denim appreciation club if there were a such thing. (hits publish on this post, and Googles “Denim Appreciation Club.”)
