Hey hey,
I already violated my promise to post twice a week! Login issues…but im back!
Lots going on in the footie world…TO ENGLAND!
Portugese winger Nani clearly more playing time (or to be sold to another team), after ranting about Coach Fergie in an interview. I assume he knew the scoop-mad British press was gonna get wind of his comments, but public bitching is not the CoolMarriedGuy way.
Speaking of Man U, they lost to the Chelsea boys 1-0 this weekend, which solidifies Chelsea’s spot at the top of the Premier League standings.
Speaking of red-wearing teams not winning…Liverpool continued their run of mediocrity, drawing 2-2 with lowly(or middling) Birmingham on monday. People are talking like their season’s over, but soccer fans are particularly prone to hyperventilation. Lotta ball left to be played yet Reds…
And in SPAIN…
Real Madrid was on the wrong end of the upset special of the decade, being eliminated from the Spanish Copa del Rey in the first round by Alcorcon: a team 3 divisions below them. After losing the first leg 4-0, Madrid only managed one goal in the 2nd, to lose 4-1 on aggregate…to a team 3 divisions beneath them. Best believe the fans of Alcorcon’s next oppenent, Barcelona, will greet them with a standing ovation at the Camp Nou. Laughable mang, HA HAAA!
Staying with Los Blancos: Christiano Ronaldo continues to miss time with an ankle injury and may be out for a few weeks more. Portugal wants him in camp for their upcoming World Cup Qualifying playoff with Bosnia-Hertzagovenia, but Madrid aint letting their uber privey diving diva go.
hmm, other goings ons?
Clubs are off this weekend for international friendlies and the European World Cup Qualifying playoffs, with the highlights being Brazil-England on Saturday, France-Ireland and Portugal-Bosnia.
ok thats it for now, more coming!
