Let’s talk semantics shall we?

This site is just a baby. In fact, we just hit our 1 month anniversary on 10/27, so I think I need to clear a few things up for the 100′s of new readers we get everyday. Here at CMG, we post a bevy of things from new products, fashion items, relationship advice, and sometimes just things we find funny. There are a million and one blogs out there that just post new products, and list the details very factually. It makes sense, they just want to inform and not influence, I get it. That whole thing is totally cool with me, and I visit a handful of those sites frequently. But let me say this: If you get a product of any kind from me, I’m gonna give my opinion on it, because that’s what I do. This site is all about the life of today’s married man aka the “cool” married guy, which is a life I lead every single day, so yes, I do have an opinion. By no means have I been hired to promote anything, so if I tell you all that I think something is cool, then it’s because I think it’s cool. Don’t get it twisted, if and when companies start throwing me money to post their products (which I can’t imagine is a particularly good business move), I will be happy to post them. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna say “oooh the shake weight, I use it everyday and I’ve lost 45 lbs,” but I’ll be happy to post anything. So my point is, don’t be an asshole and assume there’s some propaganda behind what we do here. I approved the “Kindle” comment to make an example, but anyone else that wants to spew unwarranted negativity will get deleted before they get approved. So instead find a nice spot on the wall in your bedroom, pretend it’s the comment section of this site, and feel free to express yourself there.
