Sneakers I dig- 10/28/09

I’m not mad at these at all. I find that whatever silhouette is popular, Nike will do at least one version of it, even if it’s not their forte (as they should). Most of the time, the shoes wind up looking a little stupid and you almost wish they would just remove the swoosh to make the shoe better. Not the case in Nike’s Air Flytop Premium. These sneakers feature a very trendy, very Euro looking silhouette. What I tend to like about sneakers like these are the fact that the colorway is “clean,” and these can be dressed up or down. A thinner, less chunky hightop is great for any season, any pant, and can compliment any outfit. These are not for baggy jeans and a XXL sweatshirt, these are for a more mature look. Hell, I’d wear these with a tuxedo! Only issue I have is with the pricetag: $220, which basically comes from the “premium” leather. Who knows, wait a while and see if you can get a better price.
